CanConWire reads the day’s Canadian film and television news so you do not have to. Each weekday an editor goes through announcements, funding decisions, guild notices, trade filings and reporting from across the industry, picks what matters, and writes it up in our own words. Every item says why it matters and links to whoever reported it first.

Every Monday morning the best of the week arrives in one email, The weekly digest. It is written for producers, crew, guild members, distributors, policy watchers and anyone who works in or follows the Canadian industry.

Where we cover

CanConWire covers the whole Canadian industry, with its own sections for the major production hubs: Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec, Atlantic Canada, and the Prairies & North. A story with a national angle — federal policy, a national guild agreement, a national funding program — runs without a hub tag.

Who edits it
